Company History

Our focus has always been on integrity in calibrations.  It was that way in the beginning, and that will never change.  Now, we celebrate ten years of integrity in calibrations from our service centers in Chesapeake, Richmond, and Greensboro. 

More importantly, our customers in 40 American states, three Canadian provinces, and a dozen countries worldwide have seen the results.  A company can't grow like that unless they do the right thing. 

Our best advertising historically, has been customers word of mouth.  Our best salespeople, our technicians.  To each of you, thank you. 

A few points in our history:

In 2000, we get started in Chesapeake, Virginia.

In 2005, we landed our first contract with the United States Navy.  Working up and down the US East Coast, again we focused on maintaining integrity in our calibrations.  For the entire length of that five year contract, we made sure the job was done right.  We grew the distributor relations that today help set us apart.

2008 was a big year.

• Angel's Instrumentation merged with A Plus Calibrations of nearby Virginia Beach.  Since A+ was ISO accredited, Angel's became accredited later that year. 
• A2LA was so impressed with the new systems we were granted a two year accreditation, which is pretty unusual.
• We began to develop "Guardian Angel" service, with the introduction of calibration certificates on demand through our website.

In 2009, even during a terrible global economy, we grew.  While some competitors didn't survive, we saw growth in Central America, Asia and Europe in our commercial business.

Our focus on integrity was rewarded with a new five year contract with the US Navy, and the opportunity to provide calibrations worldwide.  We've been to South Korea, the Philippines, Guam, Italy and lots more to come.  We are honored to serve those who serve.

In 2010, our company expanded to include our environmental chamber division.  By bringing on Mark Skinner and Ned Golden, with a combined 40 years experience in the field, we gain a new market and instant credibility.  We also revised our website.
